The first thing he did that I can really call him out on is grandstanding in the Leviathan fight, when he absolutely should have known better and got a bunch of other people hurt for his own glory he had a little breakdown after being demoted I think, and an S-class threat showing up right then was just the worst possible timing. And even after she goes villainous, he gives her a huge amount of slack and extra chances. He never puts too much pressure on her to fall in line either, informing her of the benefits of going legit but not pushing the issue and providing a bit of solid advice even if she wants to be independent.

If she'd been willing to join the Wards (as disastrous as that would have been with Sophia), he would have let her keep all the credit and just taken what kudos he could get for discovering her. Like, he takes credit for Taylor's accomplishment on her first night, but that seems to be honestly for her own safety since she's refusing to join any group that could protect her and there's no way she would have survived the ABB's reprisal on her own.

Armsmaster initially comes across as a lot more reasonable and responsible than I remembered.
